The Basic First Aid class is designed for individuals that require or desire a basic knowledge and first aid skills. This extremely flexible program will help employers meet OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work. Course Length: Approximately 2 hours Intended Audience Individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills with a focus on adults, children, or both; including:
- Emergency response teams in business and industry
- School bus drivers
- Adult residential care personnel
- Child care workers
Card Type: Course Completion Card Written/Skills Exam: Written Test (First Aid) Costs: $45 OSHA regulation 1910.151 states, “…in the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace, which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid.” Near proximity has been interpreted in most cases, to mean help is less than three minutes away.
